Paramount Skydance Will Eliminate Approximately 2,000 United States Roles – Update

Paramount Skydance will start large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 US jobs as part of a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn led by CEO David Ellison.

The workforce reduction come after the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed during August valued at $8.4bn.

Additional international job cuts are likely, with Paramount Skydance aiming to announce complete information via its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Prior news had indicated that Paramount planned to cut from 2,000 and 3,000 positions before the start of November.

As of December 2024, the organization employed nearly 18,600 permanent and temporary staff plus 3,500 project-based staff.

Paramount Skydance has not yet commented on the matter.
